SummaryA group of informal investors has made an investment of €500,000 in Fanrise.com, a Dutch start-up. This online platform helps companies to monitor, analyse and improve their Facebook activities and campaigns. The investment will be used for further development of the platform and for international expansion.
The online platform was launched mid-2012 as “Pagemonitor”. Recently, along with this new investment, it was announced that the platform had been renamed to “Fanrise”. At the moment, Fanrise has over 1,500 active users worldwide.
From likes to engagement
Among others, vanHaren, Siemens and Pepsico Netherlands use the analytics tool of Fanrise to gain insights in their Facebook activities and benchmark them. While most companies are mainly collecting likes, Fanrise focuses on mapping the relationships and interactions with the fans. This insight helps companies to better interact with their fans and increase revenues.
In contrast to competition, Fanrise combines different resources for its analytics. For example, how does the use of Facebook Ads relate to the growth of fans and interaction. The reports and statistics provided by Fanrise answer to the need of supporting and justifying marketing budgets. According to Bram Masselink, co-founder of Fanrise, ‘There is an increasing need for companies to have a better insight into the results of their efforts on Facebook.’
Fanrise has the ambition to be a dominant international player in Facebook analytics within the next eighteen months. Right now, the focus lies on strengthening international sales and further developing technical functionalities.
